WTF???!!!! National Public Radio is giving that consummate
asshole Andrew Not-too-Britebart a whole hour today on "All Things Considered" so he can 'dispel the myths created by all the Left Wing Media"
:puke: What in the hell is wrong with NPR??? It's bad enough listening to Mara Liasson nuzzle all the Neocons weekly, but now NPR radio is taking a hard shift to the right???

at this stage of things. They lost their honor and their cred a few years back...It's sickening, I know...

42. During Stupid 2005 "kill Social Security" media blitz
I woke up one morning to one GOP drone after another telling us how great it was going to be to put Grandma out on the street so the stock market could grab more money and following up with the master of ooze, Ken Mehlman. I'm lucky the radio survived it, but it's a Sony and nearly indestructible. I then tuned to the classical station in town.

Well, that station has gone under so I've had to switch back to an NPR college station since the balance is Clear Channel, bible and C&W. I have actually awakened yelling "BULLSHIT!" and it's not a very nice way to wake up.

I guess I'll just have to use the alarm from now on.

3. I gave up on NPR when Cokie Roberts "reported" on the "Bush Charm Offensive" during 2000
She came on during "Campaign 2000" with a report on the Bush charm offensive, and how he'd use it to get things done in DC, and how he liked to give out nicknames, etc.etc.etc.

I believe her main phrase was, "He's charming, oh, so charming!" :puke:

But it'll never work. They are convinced the network is a bunch of commies and will never turn it on.

I think it's time to put NPR out of its misery.

19. NPR is a right wing cesspool that retains its left wing veneer and sound.
They continue to sound like the 1998 SNL spoof with Molly Shannon, Alec Baldwin and Ana Gasteyer doing that discussion of Schwetty Balls. The material is hilarious, but they also capture perfectly that sort of old fashioned "FM sound" of early talk radio that NPR used to do all the time.

Listen here ...... worth the listen again and again. (There might be a commercial, suffer through it if there is. The clip is worth it). Hilarious.

37. 'Pretty objective' relative to Fox
Are NPR's flagship programs 'pretty objective' relative to the NPR of eight years ago? Not so much. It has always been a haven for sneering libertarians, but as soon as Voice of America chief Propagandist took over under Bush, things got much worse.

Granted it's 10x better than commercial radio for filling the time, but All Things Considered and Morning Edition are biased toward inside the beltway centrist and right leaning views.

41. NPR sucks...
... they went to the dark side around 2001.

I still listen, mostly to note the blatant propaganda and careful lies of omission they engage in regularly.

Yeah, they are better than Fox but nonetheless I'm not paying for propaganda. I stopped sending them money after 17 years in 2002 after an interview with Colin Powell in which Colin knew he was lying, the interviewer knew he was lying but nonetheless the absurd lies he told went unexamined and unrebutted.

Fuck NPR.
