How Corporate Money Will Reshape Politics By THE EDITORS

A bitterly divided Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that the government may not ban political spending by corporations, labor unions or other organizations in elections. The court’s majority in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission swept aside a century-old doctrine in election law, ruling that the campaign finance restriction violated the First Amendment’s free speech principles. The dissenters said opening the floodgates to corporate money will corrupt democracy.

How will this decision play out in American politics?

1. Corporations are made up of groups of people.
All of those people individually have the right to free speech.

All of those people in those corporations have the right to vote, unless they've done something that has stripped them of their right to vote.

So...where is the violation of the First Amendment?

Every single person in every single corporation has the right to free speech and the right to express their desires by voting.

Where's the violation?

I call BULLSHIT on the SCOTUS. They're making the laws up to suit the demands of their rich corporate owners. Roberts and Alito promised Congress they would not legislate from the bench, and that's exactly what they did today. IMPEACH THEM! Lying to Congress to get the job is not within their rights.
