Report on the Ground in Massachusetts
As I posted about three days ago, the Massachusetts Labor Movement is mobilized for Coakley. I believe the polls. This one is close. I think we may have been behind a couple of days ago, but this is Massachusetts and the real Democrats are coming home.

Martha is a fine person. I have met her on occasion. She doesn't seem to enjoy campaigning, even though she's a more than capable public servant. That's not the point. Right now this is about us vs. them and there's more of us. Massachusetts Democrats don't want to wake up Wednesday morning with Rush Limbaugh and Howie Carr crowing about this election. We want them licking their wounds. The tide is definitely turning in our direction. Many Democrats that are disheartened by a lot of compromises in Washington with little results, were not enthusiastic. Now they are. We now know the stakes are high and we can't hand this to the other side. Labor is on the front line on this one, and this is our "home turf".

We'll win a squeaker. Martha by 3.

4. I am hoping that the Dems in Mass really get behind her. You guys don't want that crazy
representing you. We only have to deal with Lieberman, Mass would have someone even worse.
