MSNBC's hypocrisy about Guiliani

On Countdown Laurence O'Donnell is railing about Guiliani's lie on Good Morning America. But "America's Mayor" was on Morning Joe this morning and made the exact same claim. Joe, Mike, Dylan Ratigan and Mike Barnicle did not correct him. Joe even threw out some dishonest GOP talking points of his own.

To me this is selective outrage by MSNBC and O'Donnell. If they are going to call out GMA and George Stephanopoulos for not correcting Guiliani; they should call out their own people who did also did not correct Guiliani. Not to do so is just hypocrisy on their part.

O'Donnell MOST definitly isn't a GOP shill. Why do you call it hypocrisy that different hosts, different shows, come at the issue from different angles? MSNBC is not one voice, but a platform of many voices.

5. It's not Countdown vs. Morning Joe

It's GMA vs. Morning Joe. Countdown is criticizing GMA and George Stephanopoulos for not correcting Guiliani's lie. But he was also on Morning Joe and said the same lie but none of the 4 MSNBC employees present corrected him. The hypocrisy is that if O'Donnell is going to call out GMA and Stephanopoulos for not correcting the lie, he should also call out the Morning Joe crew who didn't correct him either.

7. I'm sorry, but painting Lawrence O'Donnell with the same broad brush you use to

---rightly---tar Joe Scarborough just won't fly. I often share your anger at MSNBC for offering a daily microphone to Joey the Scab, but Larry O'Donnell is one of the best, most honest and ballsy voices we have on any network.

Criticize MSNBC all you like, but O'Donnell is one of the very few liberals willing to go on TV and let the world see that he is righteously pissed off when he calls the likes of Rudy "9-11" Giulianni a LIAR.

We could use more like him.

If they happened at the same time then I might tend to agree with you, however I believe the Joe show was the next day. It is pretty hard for Countdown to talk about Lies from the future.. Possibly we will hear something about it next week..

The question was this: "Was the Ft. Hoot shooting an act of terrorism, as Mr. Guiliani has claimed?"

The question was not: "Is Mr. Guiliani a lying sack of shit for claiming that no acts of terrorism occurred on W's watch?"
