2. Ronald Reagan.
Sure, he's dead. He'd still be more effective in that state than any of the potential candidates the GOP has to field. Hell, he'd be more effective dead than he was when he was alive.

Though during his daily three-hour campaign commercial sponsored by defense/insurance giant General Electric, it appears he his more likely testing the teabag or "independent" waters.

54. Yep
It'll be BFEE (Jeb as front man) vs corporate enemies of BFEE corporations (Mittens as puppet) vs the lunatic 20%ers (If not the Queen of Quit, then a dark crazy horse named Bachmann)

And I wouldn't rule out Kinky Friedman, who might run just because he would probably have fun with it.

They can accept the skepticism of Jews, but they can't accept what they view as the liturgical pomposity of Mormons.

maybe Palin and Huckleberry, maybe Santorum. They will split the GOP vote and they will lose agaain, but we should seriously get out the Dem voters, even the angry hissy ones.
We will need them all in '10 and '12.

28. The candidate will end up being someone most people have never heard of before
My prediction is that the 2012 GOP nominee will be Senator Jim DeMint.

I reserve the right to revise my opinion based on new information between now and then; what I am certain about is that not a one of the established names will be able to pass the tea party gauntlet that will by that time become a prerequisite for any GOP nomination.

but I can't see Romney getting the nomination. "Government run health care" will be a big issue the GOP will run on. If they nominate Romney, it would cost them one of their biggest talking points. Plus, his religion will be an issue.

Palin will not run. I think they'll nominate Jeb.

51. Better hope Jeb doesn't run
and if he does, you better hope every electro-fraud "voting" machine is smashed with a sledgehammer. Because the Bush Crime Family will not bother getting into a race unless they can either win or steal it.

I don't see them wanting back in so soon though, really. At this point, there's nothing left for them to steal from the treasury.
