GOD DAMN IT

This mandate pits citizen against citizen while enriching the corporate elite.
It's the old "divide and conquer" bullshit.
They keep us distracted while hauling away the loot.

Mandate = forced tax dollar pipeline to the medical-insurance-complex.

Demonizing Dean Won’t Absolve This Health Care Sham

...As Obama put it in Wisconsin in February 2008: “I believe the reason people don’t have health care isn’t because no one’s forced them to buy it. It’s because no one’s made it affordable.”

... Obama said on a campaign stop in Cleveland in February 2008, “We still don’t know how Sen. Clinton intends to enforce a mandate, and if we don’t know the level of subsidies that she’s going to provide, then you can have a situation, which we are seeing right now in the state of Massachusetts, where people are being fined for not having purchased health care but choose to accept the fine because they still can’t afford it , even with subsidies.”

1. Obama 2008 vs Obama 2009: what happened?

"As Obama put it in Wisconsin in February 2008: “I believe the reason people don’t have health care isn’t because no one’s forced them to buy it. It’s because no one’s made it affordable.”

I remember cheering wildly when I heard him say it. :(

3. Yes.
I believed Obama was a pragmatic progressive who would remain loyal to the little people who sent in our little donations. I didn't then think he was a corporatist stooge.

5. I didn't think he was a corporate yes man either
but his actions speak louder than his words.
