Does anyone know what is in the Senate health care bill?
What is so great about this bill, which now has nothing resembling a public option, that so many progressive Senators would vote for it? It can't be that working folks will be forced to purchase health insurance policies ("individual mandates" a/k/a insurance welfare) because there is nothing "progressive" about that.

1. Whatever is 'in' it,
apparently there's no LANGUAGE in 'it' yet, so some/many say there's no way they can agree at this point.

2. No..I don't think so.....
but when they get it together they better have a really good reason if they scrap the public option yet keep the mandate. I read something that is interesting about capping profits http://www.businessinsurance.com/article/20091211/NEWS01/912119992

IMO we should regulate the shit out of these companies because they are after all only a middle man....Health insurance should have never become an "Industry". I thought industry applied to production of an actual product not the health of a countries citizens.

3. You are absolutely right
They don't make anything or create any financial mechanism to facilitate investment of capital. Their function is to collect more premium than they pay in claims plus overhead. They steal from the public (and companies that actually make something) and pay less than they steal to the doctors and hospitals,, pocketing the rest. Simply put, they are parasites.
