Rahm Emanuel to Harry Reid: Cave to Joe Lieberman.

Lieberman threw health care reform into doubt Sunday when he told Reid that he would filibuster the bill if it allowed Americans ages 55 to 64 to purchase coverage in Medicare. His comments on CBS’s “Face the Nation” set off a series of private meetings Sunday between the Senate leadership and top White House aides, including Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who encouraged Reid to cut the deal with Lieberman, the official said. The White House declined to comment.

Reid has called a special Democratic caucus meeting for 5:30 p.m. Monday.

4. Lieberman
Throwing out the public opotion Isn't good enough. He will fillerbuster any expansion of Medicare and
Medicaid.Sooner or later the Democratic caucus need to stop screwing around with him.He Is no democrat.
Sanders Is more a Democrat than he Is and he has always been a true Independent.Granted a Liberal
Independent.Lieberman Is a Republican who has passed himself off as a Democrat.

Emanuel needs to be concerned about the democratic voters they need In 2010 and not Lieberman who will
campagin and endorse Republicans next year.If Democratic turnout Is depressed and Republicans are able to take control of the House the Obama agenda will be In gridlock In congress and they will attempt to
Impeach President Obama.

No Public Opotion of any kind.No expandsion of medicare and medicaid.Exactly what Is the purpose of
health care reform anymore then?

7. I'm none too fond of the sourse but I don't doubt that the White House
is putting pressure on for a deal and Reid knows that it will be his ass if there is no deal
