Note to Staples. Anyone here work for them?
I ship packages regularly and each time I go to their shipping facility, I have to face the dirtiest keyboards in creation. It would take so to little time to take some alcohol and wipe off the crud. I comment every time to no avail. It is revolting. Maybe in your area it is better but here, I cringe to touch it. Maybe I'll e-mail the home office. Talk about spreading all kinds of germs.
Yuck!

1. why not just sign up for USPS or UPS??
you can print your labels at home and the Post Office will even come pick them up from the house.

I did that when I used to eBay a lot and it was great!! I did have to give my postal carrier a nice Xmas basket that year, but it was cheaper than the gas I would have spent taking stuff to the drop off.

so next time you're at Staples, instead of using their shipping just buy some laser print labels and you'll be set

:hi:

2. Bring your own wipes.
I wouldn't trust Staples (or the library, or the car rental joint...) to clean a keyboard after each and every user.

5. Note: Just sent Staples an e-mail about the filthy keyboard.
I have found that Staples, which is near me, is less expensive than the Post Office. I have no preference as to service, just to price.

As an example, I got a quote to USPS a box to Texas, $96.00, same box to Texas, UPS, $54.00. Both were insured for $500.00.

THis is personal shipping, not for business. I send goodies to family here and there.

6. The squeaky wheel and all that! Update on Staples
About noon today I went to Staples to mail my Christmas gifts. I almost shouted out loud. The keyboard was clean-as in spotless. The young man who always handles the UPS shipping was there and I asked him when the change. He told me they were all ordered this morning to clean all the keyboards.

He was pleased too because he frequently has to use that grubby keyboard. Sometimes a polite but pointed complaint does some good. Think I'll bring Purel next time as a precaution.
