I wonder if the Russians....
are gonna supply some nifty weapons for the Taliban to use on the US.... or have they already.

I figure they could ship some helicopter-killing missiles thru Iran or one of the 'Stans.

Of course, they'd be afraid the Chechens might get ahold of them, but they might figure it's worth the risk.

I wonder what's the Russian version of "Payback is a motherfucker!"

We can only hope they don't.

2. Why would they?
the cold war is over, they have nothing to gain by earning our ire.

5. It's possible. Russia wouldn't mind a weakened US. I would think china would do it too.
When you're on top, you become the target.

8. not to mention that we're softening up the Taliban so they can operate there
. . . and exploit the resources with impunity and without the same costs as the U.S. in lives and money

6. They don't like them any more than we do. For the same reasons PLUS the Taliban wants to ignite
militant Islam within Russia and the FSU.

9. They're probably just
snickering behind our backs watching us repeat their mistake of getting fatally & futilely bogged down in the quagmire of Afghanistan. They had to depart with their tails between their legs and so will we.
