Bachmann and Palin to unite for Tea Party convention.
http://thinkprogress.org/2009/11/27/bachmann-palin-tea-party/

Sarah Palin will star as the keynote speaker at next February’s First National Tea Party Convention, which will take place in Nashville, TN. Also attending: Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN). The right-wing Minnesota congresswoman has previously asserted that Democrats are trying to “sabotage” both her and Palin “to make sure that we don’t have a prominent national voice.” The Washington Independent reports that tickets to see the Bachmann/Palin show “are available for the bargain price of $549.”

What, Marsha Blackburn wasn't available?

Maybe she'll help fill out the undercard.

1. Sabotage?
Just getting the hell out of their way and letting teh crazy issue forth seems like a perfectly sound strategy to me.

2. I hope the City of Nashville has plenty of disinfectant on hand
They'll need to do ground spraying to get rid of all the infectious stupid they're going to have. With those two in the same place with all the teabaggers the stupid should be palpable.

However, at $549, I suppose there will be no actual teabaggers present, just lobbyists and other wealthy astroturf manufacturers.

Will the laws of physics permit that much "STUPID energy" in one room without imploding? :silly:

11. I see this falling apart fairly quickly...
Michelle Bachman is younger, prettier & crazier than Sarah Palin.

I don't see Grandma Sarah wanting to spend too much time on a stage with Michelle. Too much competition.

I see this quickly deteriorating into a 'she said/she said,' 'you lie/you lie,' 'I know you are but what am I?'-kind of thing...

15. Nope.
Michele is 53, Sarah is 45.

The rest is subject to interpretation.

5. $549.00?!
Who in their right mind would pay $549.00 to see those two? Oh wait...teabaggers aren't in a correct mind. Or much mind at all.

9. I'll betch Palin backs out.. or pulls a 'no show...'
After all, she's so busy,
and in such demand.

And she has such a reputation for keeping her committments.

16. Looking forward: DU headline from February 1, 2010
"Palin claims to never have been contacted about appearing at Teabag Convention"

WASILLA, Alaska (Spurious News Network) -- Disgraced former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, whose appearance as the keynote speaker at the First National Teabag Convention has been bandied on numerous right wing websites since at least November, now claims she was never asked to appear at the event.

"I don't know why anyone would think I was going to attend a thing like that. My time is being spent in more important pursuits, such as preparing to become America's first woman president; writing my third book; and saving my Down Syndrome baby from that uppity n... no, make that President Obama's death panels."

Reporters for Spurious News Network unveiled an alternate explanation: there have only been 38 confirmed reservations, and the weekly Tuesday-night meetings of the Matanuska-Susitna Moose and Cigar Club regularly draw fifty people. Says Jake Rogers, club president, "Sarah really likes a big room. I guess she figured if she couldn't ruin the dinners of five or six thousand people down in Nashville, she'd rather just stay in Wasilla, have a big glass of bourbon and one of those massive Cuban cigars she likes so much, and ruin our dinners instead."

20. And on that day the sky shall open up and the power of Jesus Christ will rain down on all
And Angels will be riding golden unicorns. Feel the Rapture all for the low low price of $549 a ticket. I wouldn't pay that much to see Jesus fight the Devil, let alone attend an event that will make people dumber.
