1. Very interesting
Playing devil's advocate here, is there any VALID reason the SS could have been called off? Maybe for the cameras? I don't know. It's sure suspicious. I've always been convinced that there was some kind of plot, but I'm not convinced it was our own government that exercised the plot. After the Bush* years, though, I'd believe anything about the government.

2. Actually, yes. Kennedy asked them to hold back.
The whole trip to Dallas was planned to smooth tensions between the two wings of the Democratic Party in Texas. The populist wing was represented by Senator Ralph Yarborough, the right by LBJ. LBJ and Yarborough were famous rivals, and were publicly feuding, and at the same time Kennedy's numbers were falling in Texas in part because of the feud.

LBJ claimed they were there in Texas to patch up the feud, while Yarborough claimed they were trying to boost Kennedy's numbers, but either way, public perception was paramount.

So Kennedy didn't want to be seen as an imperial leader flanked by guards, he wanted to be visible to the crowds.

According to the SS, Kennedy himself asked that they not ride the bumper, and that the motorcycle escort not ride each corner of the limo as they usually did. The SS also testified that while this wasn't normal procedure, it also wasn't too unusual for the president to make this request.

So if you're hell-bent on believing the SS were involved, you can assume they were lying. Or if you believe that they weren't involved, you can assume they were telling the truth. Or you can believe that they simply screwed up and lied to cover it up. Take your pick.

One interesting detail, though. This conspiracy eliminates a Grassy Knoll shooter, since the bumper guards wouldn't have interfered with that shot, so they'd have no reason to move them. So then all the "evidence" about a zig-zagging bullet and about Kennedy being shot from the front is tossed out, we are back to accepting the Warren testimony about the shots from the rear, since the actions of the SS would eliminate a front shooter and indicate a rear shooter.

8. Some half baked bullshit insinuates that a security breakdown at one of the checkpoints allowed the
twits into the dinner.

6. I think that the breech of security was a threat
I think that someone is sending a message to Obama that they control his security. Obama is fighting the Pentagon and the CIA, and I believe that they are threatening him.
