9. Its a punishment from God
Lieberman is punishing his dumb constituents, who voted for him as an independent. I would have never voted for a guy whose main focus is Israel - he's basically a neocon ultra Zionist who is swinging a heavy stick with the Israel Lobby's backing.

I think you have it the wrong way around, my dear Catwoman.
It's Lieberman who fucks the Dems, again and again. Time to neuter him.

When you think about it, you can see why they hope that Lieberman comes to his senses.

10. Stop yelling at me! I TRIED to get rid of him!
It wasn't my fault. Pubs ran a loser Repub against him and Dems didn't know Lamont well enough...that was the deal...I tried and lots of us tried...

It is now in the hands of Sen. Reid. If he doesn't strip ole traitor Joe of his Senate chairmanships then I'll be dammed...I'm so sick of his grandstanding for his own freakin' ego...

Well, you know the rest. I tried with Ned Lamont. We did okay but didn'tmake it cuz nobody knew who he was and even those who thought they did thought he was just a "Greenwich liberal" which he was but it was pretty shortsighted...oh well...we're gonna get a good liberal dem against him next time...wait and see....

13. Thanks. Getting alittle sensitive around here about Joe.
He is such an irritant. I never see him around. Who knows where the guy is? He doesn't appear to give a shit about CT. It's all about HIM on MTP or FTN or some other big show. He never appears anywhere else in public. Who the hell knows where he actually lives (altho I pretty much can predict he lives in DC).

So what the hell is this guy? And what does he stand for? And does anyone in CT even believe in him?

18. We'll see. I'm hoping Dick Blumenthal (our state AG) will run against him.
Dick is a great guy, very liberal. Please god for Dick Blumenthal. He would make a great U.S. Senator, trust me. Great, as in landmark legislation.

Dick has been a terrific consumer advocate in the state. He is everywhere on stuff that concerns everyday people. I think he will do well against Joe, if he runs.

16. Verily, Joe is a foul little man.
As much as I respect and admire Al Gore, he made one big mistake in his life, that's for sure.

17. because he's pushing the policies they want but can't vote for.
That's my ultracynical answer. He's in bed with corporations. The other dems are in bed with corporations. He allows the party to support corporate interests while dems in liberal areas can safely vote liberal positions (knowing their legislation won't pass).

"Geez, I would LOVE for XXX to pass, but we just don't have the votes."

"The only way we can get this to pass is to compromise on XXX"

He's their cover. Anyone who thinks the other dems are bothered by his votes weren't paying attention to who the DSCC supported.
