The truth about Blanche Lincoln's vote and the reality of current HCR

Blanche Lincoln did not say she would vote against a public option, she said she would vote against the public option in the current Senate bill. The truth is, and I dislike it as much as the rest of you, she wants bipartisan political cover. Translation: Olympia Snowe.

What does this mean? Likely HCR with an opt out and a trigger.
Translation: We get little of what we want, for now... and Obama and the Dems get a "victory."

That is the reality.

Lincoln, Lieberman and the rest who have walk a bi-partisan tightrope make getting anything meaningful legislation done impossible. Look at what has happened to California with the two-thirds majority rule.
