Do male bullies, when young, target males, and later target females?

Given that assault and battery isn't treated as a crime if the perpetrator and victim are minors, there's no paper trail. Who are the men who are responsible for violence against women?

1. Nope they target anyone they perceive as weaker then them, in childhood

females are known to have beat the crap out of bullies. Later, after the bullies bodies mature, women are smaller and easier to bully then males. But sex rarely enters into bullying when bullies are young. In fact one of the sweetest girls I knew as a teen was the play ground bully in grade school.

2. Age and size also come much more into play when young.

At least, in my mind. When very young, a couple years maturity or an inch or two in height and a few pounds in weight make a bigger difference. Much more level playing field after maturity.

I had a bully very briefly when I was very young. I can PROMISE you that today, he'd not consider bullying me.

3. LOL, the SO and I were talking about bullies earlier today

She said, "YOU" don't back down from anyone. I stand 5'3", weigh 160 and have CP, so even as a child I never took shit from bullies, which meant I spent more time writing , "I will not cuss or hit others", the principle would cringe when he came back from lunch and saw me sitting there waiting for him. We were great friends, BOL.

4. I must have had a sign on my back all during school

I was one of those very shy kids who didn't say "boo" to anyone.

This girl tormented me almost all the way through sixth grade, until one day out on the playground she did it one too many times. I turned around and told her off...she was visibly shocked, I could tell...a couple of the other girls congratulated me for sticking up for myself.

After that day, she never bullied me again.


But this is the way I am. I'll take just so much, then watch out.

5. I can only provide my experience

During grade school which for me was in the mid 50's there was always a bully . I am a male , the play ground bully was always a much larger male . To be larger than me was not difficult at all.

Then there were the on the way from home bullies , they were in a pack always.

My older sister took car of the playground bully , she tore him a new asshole. The on the way home bullies I had to deal with by shear speed , I could outrun all the pet dogs .

I did finally get in a few positions where I had to fight back the on the walk home bullies , gravel tossing worked very well.

I can't answer your question other than to say for any male to abuse a female is a coward . It's possible they start out as you suggest but I do feel it is mainly what they are taught by their bully fathers.

To me a bully is one who attempts to compensate through lack of intelligence and reason so their control is physical.
