When you read what people write here you get a pretty good sense of what kind of lives they lead. Not personal details but what kind of people inhabit this place. I've read posts by people who are financially well off and posts by people just getting by. Some people write for a living, others have yet to discover the shift key. Not a few have struggled with substance abuse, depression, divorce and death and just as many who are always there with a kind word or some helpful advice. There are brilliant orators, subtile thinkers, firebrands, comedians, wallflowers, saints, sinners and a few jerks. Y'know - people.

You've got quite a little populist Society of Letters going here. But you knew that already. It just does my heart good to see it.
