Edited on Sun Nov-15-09 11:50 AM by Dinger
I feel like I just got the shit kicked out of me and told to get ready for more. I am too pissed right now to really rant, but it's coming folks, it's coming.

That little hatchet job is cost cost some votes. Hope arne the asshole thinks it's worth it. I have to go cool off.

1. Some of us saw clouds on the horizon before the election and feared the storm that could come if
they were gathered together. I know what you're saying. It is coming.

13. SO true. They're always so beaten down by politicians, parents, the administration, the school
board, and taxpayers (varying degrees in different areas)...it's so sad how badly they're disrespected.

2. Amen
In the world according to Arne, (who never spent a day in front of a classroom or for that matter, a public school), the only thing wrong with public schools is the unions and the teachers. In my world, I believe that Arne is the worst thing that has ever happened to our kids.

Oh, I know that it's so much easier for Arne if he can just scapegoat those with no voice at the policy table, but who's fact checking.

6. Arne isn't interested in the real problems in education, because those problems
stem with the people running the schools, not the teachers (who have no real power), not the unions (which are JOKES and are more often than not in bed with administration), not the kids, and not the parents. It's the crooks at the top, beginning with principals, few of whom are qualified to run schools having little classroom experience unlike principals a generation ago, on up who have free reign to do whatever the hell they want and with NO accountability whatsoever.

School boards are useless in overseeing the wrongdoing.

15. I saw this coming when Duncan was appointed.
Edited on Sun Nov-15-09 02:10 PM by LWolf
I saw it coming, frankly, when Obama told FOX News he thought Republicans had better ideas about education than Democrats.

I'm not surprised; I'm appalled, and I am amazed at Obama's willingness to make teachers the enemy, and his enemy.

And I am grieved, angered, and betrayed by the Democratic Party and Democrats who are allowing this to happen under their watch.
