when will the progressive caucus just grow a pair?
I have to wonder how a caucus with 80 members can be so powerless compared to a caucus (the blue dogs) of 52. I just don't seem to get it....the progressive caucus could have easily helped make the HCR bill palatable, instead, the caucus decided to basically vote for the shitty bill written by and for big insurance.....(except 2, Kucinich and Massa)

I just have to wonder how many of the members of the CPC are truly progressive, or how many "progressives" are just whores for the status quo. Take for example Mel Watt (NC)...this so called "progressive" gutted the bill to audit the Federal Reserve. How much real progress is made by shilling for the status quo?

The CPC could have ended both wars by now. Singlehandedly. They have chosen not to at every opportunity. What does that say about the caucus?

Maybe it's time for a little soul searching amongst the CPC......

1. There's Very Little Support For Insisting On Progressive/Liberal Values
Edited on Sat Nov-14-09 12:17 AM by MannyGoldstein
Look at DU, which is to the left of most: any post that insists on traditional Democratic values gets recced down in moments.

The "Progressive Caucus" doesn't want to get recced down to <0 in minutes.

2. How do you think we have gotten this far?
Better question when will conservatives admit they screwed up royally?

3. It is easier to destroy then it is to create
Remember all conservatives have to do is prevent government programs from being effective and their corporate friends are happy
and all they need are 41 senators to do that the, while the job of progressives who are trying to get things built is infinitely harder
and requires full support.

5. Grow breasts?
Because I need to be sure you aren't insisting on a patriarchal standard of excellence that is exclusively male. Are you? Because Stupak certainly is.
