Where is America's moral outrage?

Perhaps a half-million Iraqi men, women and children have been killed and several times that number have been seriously injured. Two million Iraqis have fled their country and for most of the rest of them, survival is the key. All of this from an American led invasion they never asked for!

Where is America's moral outrage?

Despite the massive devastation of this war, and most Americans' desire to withdraw U.S. troops President Bush is escalating the war. And he's doing so with more troops than he announced just three months ago. And Congress condemns this, yet continues to fund this war.

Where is America's moral outrage?

In his "war on terror" President Bush is trampling on The Bill of Rights and jeopardizing the Constitutional freedoms and protections instituted more than 200 years ago by the nation's founders.

Where is America's moral outrage?

President Bush is spending vast sums of money our government doesn't have. As a result we are borrowing heavily and mortgaging our future. This could jeopardize such vital programs as Social Security, Medicare, Education, and other essential services.

Where is America's moral outrage?

America has no Energy Policy and is so heavily dependant on foreign oil, our Economy could collapse without it taking our standard of living with it. That is largely why we fight in the Middle-East, in affect protecting the oil companies and their massive profits.

Where is America's moral outrage?

Green House gases and other pollutants are destroying our environment and jeopardizing the entire world. Yet America doesn't even join the other major industrial nations in the Kyoto Accord to deal with these issues.

Where is America's moral outrage?

New Orleans more than a year and a half after Katrina, is still a disaster and its people suffer. This despite promises from our President these problems would be solved.

Where is America's moral outrage?

In Darfur, hundreds of thousands of men, women and children have been murdered and two-million others live in refugee camps. In times past the U.S. heroically protected the downtrodden but not now in Darfur.

Where is America's moral outrage?

Despite the Geneva Conventions, the U.S. military runs secret prisons and tortures prisoners, few of whom are ever charged with crimes, as they are held indefinitely.

1. Well after we get over being pissed that Sanjaya lasted so long
and being huffy about John Edwards' big house and expensive haircut, and getting in a snit because liberals are trying to take Christmas away from us, and jumping up and down because some Mexicans are here illegally, maybe we'll have time to think about some of the things you mentioned. Not now of course we have much more important shit to worry about.

4. Where is the outrage?
In the trash. We are too mighty, too strong to have to worry about all that. We are the elite of the world and can do no wrong. So to even mention that we should be morally outraged is the real outrage.

Or so one would think after looking around at America.

5. All moral outrage is directed at liberals...
...on rightwing hate radio. The outrage is thus implanted into the lizard brains of listeners, and fills them up with their outrage quota so there is no room for outrage based on anything rational.
