At this point, it looks like I'm still going to have to stick with my main man, Dennis K. That guy has real, workin' man's hair! He probably doesn't even call ahead to Supercuts, he just sits there waiting his turn like honest Americans. You can be sure DK would never shut down an airport for a trim!

2. The only solution is to vote for a bald candidate at this point
And I'm not talking about the fake bald...we wouldn't want a candidate to spend money cutting it all off. No, what we need is someone with absolutely no hair follicles whatsoever. The shinier an smoother the better. That way we can start talking about actual issues for the two minutes it would take us to then get stuck on how much money their clothes cost.

Ok, so what we need are hairless naked candidates...

3. Well, that also suggests that he doesn't feel that his time is at all valuable.
I think a Congressman has a big enough in-box to at least spend a few extra bucks to have an appointment and not have to wait. Unless he's getting that cut when Congress is not in session, he's on the taxpayer clock if he gets a daytime haircut. He needs to spend the minimum amount of time hanging around beauty parlors reading well thumbed issues of PEOPLE.

That said, I take your larger point--these haircut prices are just silly. And frankly, none of them are getting their money's worth, IMO. They're getting ripped off by dramatic clowns with scissors!!!

5. When bush announced he had invaded Iraq
remember the British TV shot. He had an army of beauticans and hair specialist surrounding him to get him all primped up for the announcement. Why didn't the press go ape over that. Remember all those people HAD THEIR SALARIES PAID FOR BY THE U.S. TAXPAYER.
