Ooh look! A post all of DU can agree on!
Joe Lieberman. You are one narcissistic little prick. Let me quote you:

If the public option plan is in there, as a matter of conscience, I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote because I believe debt can break America and send us into a recession that’s worse than the one we’re fighting our way out of today. I don’t want to do that to our children and grandchildren.

I, I ,I ,I ,I.. yeah.. well fuck YOU. Where the hell was your conscience when we spent trillions killing innocent women and children in Iraq? When we were sending American kids to their deaths to protect us from a third world dictator that had no ties to terrorism and no weapons to attack us with? Where was your fiscal conscience when you were voting to send billions to Iraq to be bundled up and thrown around as footballs. Where was your conscience when 11 billion dollars of your children and grandchildrens money went missing? Where is your conscience when it comes to informing the American people that your wife has been making a living in the health fraud, I mean care field. From Salon:

But her stint at Hill & Knowlton was merely one episode in a professional lifetime devoted to the corporate health sector. For most of the past three decades, Hadassah Lieberman has been employed by either pharmaceutical companies or the lobbying firms that represent them -- starting with nearly a decade in the "public affairs department" at Hoffman-LaRoche from 1972-81, followed by stints at Pfizer, where she spent four years as "director of policy, planning and communications," and APCO Associates, a major lobbying firm where she served as a "senior associate" in its large healthcare division before retiring in 1998.

She went back to work when she joined H&K, an outfit that became notorious for its billion-dollar defense of the tobacco industry. Not long after her contract began, Sen. Lieberman introduced legislation vastly extending patent protection for pharmaceutical companies -- notably including GlaxoSmithKline, a top client of his wife's firm.

So let's recap. You have no conscience when it comes to spending your childrens and grandchildrens money on a war that was fueled by false intelligence and the paranoid delusional fantasies of some right wing lunatics, but you have a conscience about spending your childrens and grandchildrens money when it comes to providing quality health care for all Americans, because it might screw your wife out of some more blood money. That about right you fucking low down, dirty, double dealing, no good, narcissistic little piece of shit?

10. I just wanted to see some of that old DU unity.
Everyone has a dog in the health care race and because the stakes are so high so are tempers. We need at least one "consensus" thread a day. Remind ourselves we are all on the same team.

His wife's name to me sounds Muslim, is he married to a terrorist??

27. thank you Walldude
Less than a hour ago I was cursing that bastard and saying out loud that I hate him with fierce fucking fury. Hubbie had to calm me down. What you said is perfect and makes me furious all over again. Why the HELL does that little asshole get to do the shit he does? He needs to GO!

And thank you for all that info about his wife's connections. This needs to go viral. People need to know what we're dealing with here. He should not be allowed to filibuster the bill away.

And you're right. At least we ALL agree on this one....

28. No arguments from me
Lieberman has been a sanctimonious, hypocritical prick ever since the Clinton days. And an insurance whore since before that.

Why this pathetic little man has an OUNCE of power in the Democratic world is a mystery to me.
