The Minnesota Republican reveals her sources of information, and suddenly everything's a little clearer

Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., is the conservative hero of the day for having organized a protest against Democratic healthcare reform proposals that's taking place on Capitol Hill Thursday. In preparation for that protest, she participated in a conference call with supporters and press on Wednesday night.

While on the call, she gave this rundown of where she gets the information she needs to do her job as a member of Congress:

The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning out of bed, I grab my cell phone and I look to RedState ... and I feel like I at least am kind of prepared to get out of bed, and then I go read the editorial page of Investors Business Daily or the Wall Street Journal for a wider background of knowledge for the day... I just find it is one of the most credible sources of information out there.

Yes, Bachmann's "wider background of knowledge" goes from the conservative blog RedState -- led by a guy whose idea of a brilliant political tactic is sending fake dog poop to a Democratic congressman -- to the WSJ's notoriously ideological editorial page and then to the IBD editorial page, which is sort of a poor man's WSJ for people completely uninterested in anything but a strict conservative line.

She really needs to be on some serious psychiatric meds and under the careful supervision of a fleet of mental health professionals.

I wish you each could meet Tarryl. She is an amazing person, an amazing candidate. She is the Assistant Majority Leader of the Minnesota State Senate. She has worked with the Childrens' Defense Fund, and the Minnesota Community Action Programs Association. She is a pro-choice candidate who has won in a "pro-life" district. She will not be afraid to go after Bachmann hard. She is politically savvy and I don't think she would have given up her Minnesota State Senate seat to run unless she had a path to victory.

10. Of course she is from the republican concave

of Minneapolis but I think the have someone. We don't get too much republican news up here in the Iron Range. But first someone is going to have to start a law suit to stop the TV preacher from giving speeches and demanding his congregation vote for her. He is what made her a household name before.

And he has never been investigated. Being from Minneapolis and their brand of politics I doubt if he will. This joker, bought houses(plural), boats, cars, airplanes and property with church money. Then he leased them back to himself for a pittance. There was some talk about it, but they didn't do anything. So he took millions and millions of church money, used it like he wanted and got the benefit of it and the dumb parishioners didn't do a thing. And every week he got on his TV pulpit website and told people to vote for Bachman, she was a religious girl. etc. I wish someone would knock her out of that seat. And now that they see what Minneapolis does in their voting, with all the ballots they squirreled away and didn't count for Franken, maybe someone will wise up and demand a hand recount.
