When I launched CongressmanWithGuts.com, I wanted to challenge DC conventional wisdom. I wanted to show that someone who speaks out for progressive values can get the support they need to win. But I knew I couldn't do this by myself.

Thank you for making my campaign's money bomb a success. I also want to thank Blue America, Darcy Burner, Democracy for America, MoveOn.org, OpenLeft, PCCC, and Congressman Robert Wexler for supporting our efforts.

Together, we raised over half a million dollars from over 14,000 donors.

More importantly, we showed that a progressive can raise money without pandering to the corporate lobbyists that infest Washington, DC.
