My letter to Congresswoman Eshoo re: the horrible Eshoo/Barton Amendment
Dear Congresswoman Eshoo,

I just found out about the amendment that you co-sponsored with Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) to the health care reform bill in the House. I am writing to strongly urge you to renege on your support for this amendment. This amendment will further the monopolies that drug companies have on life-saving drugs.

My maternal grandmother is a breast cancer survivor, and my mother as she gets older worries about it. These drugs must be made affordable to those who need them. It is simply wrong that they cost as much as they do and will not be available in years to most people. I hope you see this too and treat this as a moral issue.
