The Mob That Wasn't Greets Arrival Of Pelosi Bill
It certainly wasn't the "flash mob" organizers were hoping for, but a small but determined group of Tea Party Patriots gathered on the Capitol Lawn this morning to protest the announcement of a final House health care reform bill.

TPMDC counted about 10 Tea Partiers holding signs denouncing a "government takeover" of health care and looking with disdain as House Democrats gathered on the Capitol Steps. They stood in a larger group of protesters from other groups, mostly focused on abortion rights.

Joann Abbott, a grandmother from Northern Virginia, made the drive to the protest this morning after seeing the email sent by Tea Party leaders last night. When asked if she was part of the "flash mob," she laughed. "I'm here on my own," she said, looking around at the scattered protesters around her. "If this is organized, we suck."

Lisa Miller, another protestor, said she was an organizer with a D.C. tea party group. She insisted that the event wasn't organized by a national organization, despite yesterday's email which was signed by a group calling itself "Your Tea Party Patriots National Coordinator Team."

"If this is organized, we suck," lamented one tea partier.

Tea Party organizers sent out an alert for a "flash mob" or tea partiers to crash this morning's House health care bill unveiling. Alas, only about ten people showed up.

5. I'm picturing all these Teabaggers scrambling to Code Brown this on twitter w/ old cellphones, PCs..
Because you KNOW they don't buy or use iPhones or MacBookPros.

Which are the exclusive domain of the more highly evolved among us.

17. A propos your second picture
My takeaway is that the young lady's farts are a mixture of goldfish or sharks, a laptop, jets, birds, a parakeet, flowers, a legislative building (?), and some bottled product "cqua di". She might consider cutting back on her fiber intake.

21. I'd like to meet her.
A woman who farts laptops while managing to look so fresh is a rare find, indeed.

lol 'legislative buildings'...

23. She only has one leg
Just a heads up. The way she appears to be fanning behind her indicates to me that it's pretty rank. Can't say I'd last more than a round or two of "dutch oven" with her.

24. That Earth-Tone color of her Skirt...
It all makes sense now. And her expression says, "Oops, excuse me!"

Nonetheless, she farts laptops!

9. The tea-baggers realize they aren't necessary.
The Democrats are going to whittle away The Public Option all by themselves at the behest of their owners.

Nancy Pelosi stepped up and did her part today, right on cue.

13. So you're for the status quo?
If so, you're as useless as the teabaggers.

Both bills have the PO. We will have a PO in the final bill along with all the other reforms to force the Insurance industry to compete.

But you're for the status quo so I doubt you care.

16. Nonsense.
I am for Health Care Reform, and a Public Option that is actually "government run" and available to "The Public".
I support this, and so do between 55% and 70% of Americans, Democrats and Republicans.

What YOU are supporting is a handful of crumbs thrown to the peasants for diversion while mega-Billions of Public Money is transferred to the For Profit Health Insurance Industry.

The difference between you and me?...I've read the fine print.

18. Yup not much to rejoice over.
The weak watered down PO doesn't kick in until 2013. That's plenty of time for the GOP to steal an election and repeal it.

22. NO, but I've read most of HR 3200.
HR 3200 was over 1200 pages.
The new revision released this morning is over 800 pages longer, but we already know that the provision tying rates to Medicare +5 has been dropped, making an already weak Public Option even less attractive and less competitive on "The Exchange".

10. Did you hear
when a tea dragger yelled in the bull horn they had...Pelosi said thank you supporters of the health industry or something to that effect...I loved it..she is quick on her feet..

I heard her say there was a public option and this is a good one. If you don't like your insurance you can shop for a better one. Not like the senate where you have to stay with your insurance company and hope they lower the price... I don't understand people saying there wasn't any.

14. The "10" is Liberal math.
The Fox News numbers puts the protesters squarely in the 10's of thousands.

Success!
