2. Why?
Edited on Wed Oct-28-09 04:55 AM by Are_grits_groceries
What they do on Earth is much more horrible than what their twee little minds dream up. They have created Hell on Earth by spewing hateful diatribes.

1-Shooting people who don't agree with them.
2-Creating a climate where gays are still physically hurt.
3-Ignoring the suffering of people who are in dire straits.
4-Reveling in their open hatred of others.

I can make a fundie movie that would rival any horror film. It would make your skin crawl if it already doesn't.

3. Generally turning their back on anyone and everyone who is not lockstep, and
lockmind with THE PROGRAM. Sheesh. They are SO AFRAID and their faith is SO WEAK that they cannot stand to be around anyone who sees things differently.

To me, that sends a strong signal of FUNDIE FAITH FAIL, no matter how loudly they whine to the contrary.

7. Fundies seem to be literally terrified of thinking and ideas.
Lockstep groupthink is all they can handle. I almost feel sorry for the poor dears. Imagine being afraid of smart, thinking people! Luckily for them, there aren't all that many of us around these days.

6. Awesome idea. A horror movie where the monster is a fundamentalist church
preying on other normal churches, liberals, etc.

8. There you go, thinking for yourself, actually reading the Bible instead
of just sitting in the pew and listening to what the Preacher is telling you what you should know.

5. There's an interesting documentary film
about these. It's a few years old. I believe it's called "Hell House."

My son's paternal grandmother is "Southern Baptist" in a small town in Oklahoma. When he visited during Halloween, he went with her and his cousins to a "hell house." Grandma was a singing angel in one of the scenes. He thought the whole thing was hysterically funny.
