When it comes to Domestic policy, a right winger will go on and on about government takeover, loss of freedoms, waving their Chuck Norris "DON'T TREAD ON ME" flag, socialism, communism, get government out of our lives... But when it comes to foreign policy, the government can do no wrong. Put your hand on your heart, get the tear in your eye, be proud of the flag, all our actions are just.

Why is that?

many rightwinger DON'T like our foreign meddling. they are generally referred to as paleocons.

neocons, to contrast, generally do. neocons are all about making a change in the world. paleocons are all about isolating us from the world.

2. Conservatives are generally opposed to government intervention that preserves

life. Even in foreign affairs, if it's designed to preserve life, or promote a better life, the government should stay out of it, that's what business is for. I believe they feel that government is for killing and arresting people. It comes of a sense of insecurity, they are afraid of Arabs, or gays, or blacks, or poor people, or... they want the government to make them feel safe. It's not out of sheer meanness, I think, it's a completely different point of view. Many hardcore conservatives also volunteer in soup kitchens and at shelters, they just don't want the government doing anything to help.

3. And they love sending other people's kids to fight wars, but...

wouldn't give the country five minutes of their time for anything.
