LANSING, Mich. - A Rapid City man now has the distinction of having reeled in the largest Great Lakes muskellunge (MUS'-kuh-lunj) in Michigan history.

The state Department of Natural Resources announced Thursday that it has certified Kyle Anderson's 50-pound, 8-ounce catch as a new record.

The 30-year-old Anderson was trolling Torch Lake with a Muskie Magnet on Sept. 27 when he caught the 56-inch fish.

The catch beats out a 48-pound muskie caught by Charles Edgecomb at Skegemog Lake in 1984.

5. Something Wrong
If this fish is 56 inches long, the man isn't even five feet tall. And the other thing is, I would expect a fish as large as a man to weigh more than 50 pounds. So something is not right with the proportions and measurements.

6. Strange
This fish has spots like a spotted musky but a spotted musky has pointed tail fins and it has rounded fins like a Hybrid Tiger musky but has spots? WTF
