7. NASA Is Going To Crash The Spent Upper Rocket Stage...

of the LCROSS orbiter into a crater on the moon. When the stage impacts the moon its kenetic energy will create a plume of material from the lunar surface. The LCROSS orbiter will then follow the impactor. It will pass through the plume before impacting the moon itself. As LCROSS passes through the plume it will collect and relay data to NASA on the contents of the ejected material. Scientists will use the data in an attempt to ascertain how much water exists on the moon. Some DUers have lost their shite over the whole thing.
