Poll question: could you forgive some other corporate whoring if Dems put knife in health insurance?
And gave it a good hard twist? And by that I mean a public option everybody could get if they wanted to and regulation of price and overhead, and ending denial of service for private companies. I could forgive them for being in the tank for corporations if they could at least put our LIVES ahead of their future. Jobs as lobbyists, board members, CEOs, all those insider stock tips, and being let in the gate at Martha's Vineyard

1. No. How long do you think this victory would
last if they are still in bed with the corporations? Not long.

2. Depends on how big or sharp the knife is...
If they get health care to the point where the public option is comprehensive, available to everyone, and costs no more than Canada's national health premiums, I could forgive a lot of other malfeasance. If it merely meant giving us a public option with a premium of $850/month per family instead of $1,000/month per family, not so much.

3. no, because that's the DLC's entire modus operandi:
they do some feel-good BS or vote right on some wedge issue, and then declare that they've washed away all their long history of rank corruption, so we'd better get down on our knees in weeping gratitude

5. As I've been thinking about piratization (privatization)

particularly that happening in the schools, also public sidewalks, is it a good idea if a legal precedent is made that can force a mandatory citizen expenditure to go to a private firm?

Medicare for All: Can that be the "public option"?
