No joke! New RW "border watch" group claims it found AK-47 wielding ninjas crossing the border.
The Patriots Coalition, a new antigovernment ‘Patriot’ group founded by the former vice president of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, is carrying out its first border vigilante operation targeting Latino immigrants and drug smugglers.

Along with Patriots Coalition members, the month-long event, dubbed Operation Spike, is drawing volunteers from other Minuteman splinter factions such as Minuteman of One.

Patriots Coalition founder and president Al Garza identifies the group as part of the Tea Party tax protest movement. The Patriots Coalition website is loaded with “birther” conspiracy theory materials and jokes about assassinating President Obama.

Operation Spike participants told the Herald they’d reported groups of 15 and 17 individuals along the border, as well as a larger group of 65 individuals, some of them carrying backpacks, accompanied by four “ninja-dressed” men armed with AK-47s.

“We are seasoned and we know what to look for,” Garza told the Herald. “We know what to find. We know when we see something what to expect of it.”

And they wonder why nobody takes them seriously.

"Seasoned"?

It sounds more like they're "stewed".

8. Cocktail hour!
Stewed. And blended.

You heard of "100 Pipers"? Now we have "100 Ninjas".

:toast:

(We need a proper cocktail- or wine-glass tap icon. But it's the idea that counts!)

5. If they're dressed like ninjas...
...how did these guys know what to look for?

True ninjas save their trademark black uniforms for special occasions, i.e. night missions, preferrably in the woods. If you met a real ninja face-to-face, he or she would probably look like a fisherman, deliveryman, attorney, farmer, truck driver, secretary, or even that bouncy club girl whose jeans don't cover her butt when she sits down. You're not supposed to recognize a ninja - if you do, you're either a ninja yourself, or you possess exceptional powers of perception, or you're dealing with a really incompetent ninja (they're usually trained from early childhood).

Ninja terrorists in the Heartland

A lot of people thought I was joking back in August 2004 when I first reported the Coast Guard's assertion that terrorists often dress up like ninjas. These same people laughed again a month later when I wrote about an incident in England where American tourists reported a bunch of possible terrorists in ninja outfits to the local police. But who's laughing now that we have people running around wearing ninja suits here in the Heartland? It's not the State Security Apparatus:

ATF agents are always on alert for anything suspicious -- including ninjas.

Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearm agents, on campus Tuesday for Project Safe Neighborhoods training, detained a "suspicious individual" near the Georgia Center, University Police Chief Jimmy Williamson said.

Jeremiah Ransom, a sophomore from Macon, was leaving a Wesley Foundation pirate vs. ninja event when he was detained.

<snip>

"It was surreal," Ransom said. "I was jogging from Wesley to Snelling when I heard someone yell 'freeze.'"

Ransom said he thought a friend was playing a joke before he realized officers had guns drawn and pointed at him.

ATF agents had noticed Ransom's suspicious behavior and clothing and gave chase, apprehending him, Williamson said

19. But did they see pirates?
Does not seem likely because it's land, and there's no bounty to be pillaged.

So, yeah. If you're driving near the Mexican border, look out for rogue stars or nun-chuck attacks.
