This very new member not only made it to the top of the greatest with one of his early posts, but Thom Hartman just read a good part of it on the air as a pre-amble to a phenomenal rant about the right wing and the racism, implied and direct, against our President.

I'm proud of DU - proud of our community - thrilled we get noticed over and over.
And I'm thankful to be a part of it.

mentions DU quite often, but I don't think he has read this much of a post on the air.

I admire his knowledge of history and his ability to show the progression of political ideologies.

8. He used reading them main parts out loud as a lead in

to ranting about Beck/Colter/Limbaugh etc. and the veiled and direct racism and hate-speak on the air waves and in print.
By that time I turned it down to write the blip about our being featured... so I can't tell more about the meat of Hartman's rant.
But after I posted it he was still going on about it, but I got distracted and did not hear the end.

....for those of you looking for a reason to buy satellite radio.

We live in a deep red area, and XM has been our salvation.
Only thing on the AM/FM radio is Jesus Radio or the canned broadcasts of packaged, vanilla, Top40, oldies rock.
