Michele Bachman, my new public enemy #1.
On an earlier post by Eric J in MN the following link to an article was posted.

http://washingtonindependent.com/61037/bachmann-in-st-louis-defund-the-left-beware-one-world-currency

In the article Ms. Bachman was spewing her usual crap when she stated that "Defunding the left is going to be so easy." This really made my blood boil. Let's just imagine for a moment if any Democrat got up in front of a crowd and said that they are going to use their power as an elected official to go after some right wing group like say, Freedomworks. Heads would explode, accusations of fascism would fly and said Democrat would end up sheepishly offering an apology before an outraged crowd of news cameras.

The article also has an account of her ducking the question of how she felt about the apparent murder of of KY census worker Bill Sparkman. No comment, just an airheaded "thank_you" as she rushed for her limo. A decent human being would have at least said that they feel sorry for his family and hope that those responsible are swiftly brought to justice. Once again, if a Democratic congressman had been asked about a horrible murder that had some bearing on his earlier comments and they ran from the question with a no comment they would be raked over the coals. They would be called a heartless bastard on national TV and their political career would be all but over. Where is her compassion? Where is the outrage that she seemingly has none?

I am sick of this double standard where a woman like Michele Bachman can say the most outrageous things, be so unashamedly hateful to the poorest people in our country, take so much money from and work so hard for corporate interests and never have to stand in the glare of public scorn and offer even an insincere apology for her open war on democracy.

It is time for this demon of crass capitalism in church clothes to go. She long ago declared war on the freedom to be anything other than a conservative, it is time to declare war on her. For too long we have just taken her as an relatively harmless source of amusing quotations to chuckle at among ourselves, but that must end. The fact that she seems to be taken very seriously by the most reactionary, hardline people in our country means that we must start taking her very seriously ourselves. She has declared a dirty war on liberals and I will be damned if I am going to play nice or keep a civil tongue when she her minions are prepared to play dirty to the point of killing freedom itself to destroy US.

It's time to take the gloves off and be just as nasty and yes even as underhanded as they are or we will lose, in the end the harshest comment seems to rule the debate and the side most willing to get down in the mud and wrestle for it comes out ahead. Welcome to the America that conservative wedge politics made.

1. If a wingnut killed the census worker, then she has blood on her hands.
Bachmann seriously needs to get impeached for all of her crazy talk and irresponsible comments.

2. Bachman is not a decent human being...
What I find hilarous is the idea they can defend the left by removing funding from Washington. That game can be played form both sides.

5. This is what you'll get if "Separation of Church and State"is not upheld...
I watched a thing on the Masons and it's history tonight. Now I don't know much about them, and have no opinion on whether they are good or bad. But apparently 9 or so of the founding fathers were Masons. They put the separation of church and state thing in the constitution for a reason. The documentary said that the Knights Templar, an apparent connection to the Freemasons, were wiped out by the church for being free thinkers, and advocating a separation of Church, State and Commerce. In the dark ages, the Church ran the show, making all the laws of the land from whatever the Pope said. As a result, inquisitions happened, and all kinds of people were killed and tortured if they didn't go along with the churches ideals.

This is the very shit that Bachman is doing. Making shit up based on her warped religious beliefs, and winding people up all over. If Religion is allowed to get a foot hold, and start taking over government, we'll be right back in the damn dark ages. Freedom of church and state was put in there so people could practice whatever beliefs they wanted without persecution. And government could take care of civic agendas.
If Bachman had her way, she would have every American bowing to the warped whims of cults like hers. She was elected to SERVE the PEOPLE, not go running around like a damn banshee, screaming her agenda to the country and thinking she's the messiah.

I think it's time people were forced to take a psychological exam before running for public office.

6. I find it very interesting that the blog Fox Nation does not even have
this murder as a topic for discussion. They also don't have a
blog for the discovered terrorist
plots. Odd omissions, don't you think?

11. I'm more upset that the msm isn't giving it much coverage.
Fox is Fox. They have an agenda whether they deny it and claim they represent "just plain folks" or not. But the major networks and the political talk shows should ask the questions and let the vast middle ground at least hear them being asked. I don't agree we should be like the RW extremists. It's possible to be aggressively inquisitive without howling and to keep after them until they have to give some sort of answer.

8. It is amazing what she gets away with.
We were called un-American for opposing the Iraq War. But this woman, along with Beck and the other extremists, strikes me as explicitly, unmistakably un-American (and indeed anti-American) in her appalling words and actions. And yet she is never called out on it, except on cable shows with hardly any viewers.

It's a mystery to me.

19. Thanks. Marsha's constituents are surely the biggest dumb-asses in the land: the proof is in
her voting record which is consistently detrimental to the well-being of surely over 90% of those in her congressional district. Besides that, I don't like reichous sanctimonious duplicitous purveyors of reich-wing horse-shit. :P

18. K&R
I have a friend who lives in her district. She's a constant source of embarrassment to her, but the area is just chock full of pasty white loony tunes elderly "church going" folks who "wish the world was the way it used to be".

Like, say, the 50's. When we were still "separate but equal".

20. Is she really as bad as she seems????
Anyone who says that she will not fill out her Census forms and suggests that the survey could lead to internment camps is unfit for Congress....

Unbelievable!
