Just got a phone call...BIL will be in Iraq fighting the war within 24 hours
we knew last month he was going and said he didn't know when but we knew it would be within the month

guess they boarded an airplane today



Please send him your well wishes and prayers

My MIL makes these really awesome crochet house shoes and she made 26 pair for him to take with him

It will be a difficult time for you and a lot of others. Look to friends and family for comfort and strength and value their presence.

My MIL put the banner with one star in her window just a few minutes ago


my daughter is crying with worry

they are really close and she already misses him dearly

I'm near Ft. Knox, where so many families have people there, or coming or going. Hope there are good family supports where you are.....

Often, the email and other forms of contact from Iraq are amazingly good. Fingers crossed that your family has that.

11. he told hubby he got to keep his phone
and can receive emails through it

he told us not to worry..(yea right) that he wouldn't be on the front lines

he does the satelite communications
