Convicted murderer sues John "America's Most Wanted" Walsh for $506 M for calling him a "snitch"
John Walsh Sued for Calling Inmate a 'Snitch'
Posted Sep 25th 2009 5:14AM by TMZ Staff

A convicted murderer who was attacked in prison for allegedly being labeled a "snitch" on "America's Most Wanted" has fired off one of the most unbelievable lawsuits we've ever seen -- he's demanding $506 MILLION.

In the lawsuit -- handwritten, but looking like it was typed up on a computer -- Kirell Taylor claims he was stuck in Folsom Prison -- with a razor blade -- after his fellow inmates were told "AMW" host John Walsh, "falsely" called him a "snitch" during a 2004 episode which aired on FOX.

Taylor claims the word "snitch" isn't something that inmates take kindly to -- and now he claims Walsh and Rupert Murdoch, the guy who owns FOX, should fork over a total of $506,000,000 for giving him the title that got him shanked with an "inmate manufactured weapon."

In the suit, filed Tuesday in L.A. County Superior Court, Taylor demands that FOX re-air the 2004 episode -- with Walsh personally "recanting the false statements."

6. I gotta side with Walsh and Fox on this one.....Taylor is a snitch
and a POS who deserves nothing. His cooperation is on record.

"After his conviction, Taylor wrote to Detective Purdy indicating he wanted to provide information about his crime partner in this case, Graham. He indicated he wanted to clear the air and to testify against Graham. He asked Detective Purdy and Deputy District Attorney Shellie Samuels to come up to the state prison to interview him. On September 21, 2006, they interviewed Taylor and taped his statement. Taylor indicated he grew up with Graham in the same neighborhood. He also said he knew Parks and Bijoux from the same neighborhood. Taylor told them Grahams nickname was Little Booney."

Snip--more at link...read about how this home invasion could have been even worse if they had found the wife and kids.

5. As funny as it is, he could have a point (in my non-lawyerly opinion)
If Walsh actually made the statement, and knew or should have known that it was false, it sounds like he maliciously or negligently put the inmate in danger. He and Fox should be liable for that. If nothing else, I'd think it would qualify as slander.

(Of course, I'm a little biased - the idea of even one person associated with Fox being held accountable for even one lie, ever, no matter how trivial, is catnip to me. Because it never seems to happen.)

7. Read the excerpt in post 6....Taylor did cooperate. 'Snitch'
while not 'nice' is hardly actionable.

8. Neglected to mention that in his complaint, did he? Wonder why...
That's slightly too bad, this could have been entertaining/interesting if Walsh had lied. Now it's just kind of funny - a snitch complaining about being snitched on, and thereby reminding the entire world that he's a snitch. Oops.
