10. For those who haven't had his pic posted in their cubicles for years

a bit of DU old timer trivia. One of our DUers years ago posted a confession that she had found this pic left in the xerox machine at work. She scanned it and then expressed some remorse and questioned whether it was ethical to post on DU. The moran guy was an instant hit! He soon became DU's posterboy for rightwing douchebaggery and a star was born!

This is so depressing - how come the politicians don't ask, "What if 25% of the country did NOT have acces to the courts system? Or what if 25% of the population were excluded from voting?"

Health care is not some privilege; it's a right. That's why when we convict criminals, we give them government health care. So why should a non-criminal citizen struggling to make a living not have access to a doctor? It's absurd and uncivilized, especially for an industrialized democracy.

The best videos from these clusterfucks is from the folks who interview the demonstrators and get the standard, canned answer. Then they ask a question about what exactly that answer means. After a little hesitation, they choke out their feeble understanding of the issues involved, betraying a near complete lack of comprehension. A third question usually undoes them entirely. The "smarter" ones might say that they're not entirely sure about some undisputed fact ("Well, I don't know if Medicare is a government program or not; I'll have to get back to you on that"), but it's pretty obvious that the collective IQ of the demonstrators probably doesn't crack three digits.
