Scarborough denounces right-wing 'hatred,' launches 'conservative honor roll'
MSNBC morning show host Joe Scarborough went on the attack against right-wing "hatred" Tuesday and declared he would be putting together a "conservative honor roll" to reward GOP politicians who denounce the rhetoric of commentators like Fox News' Glenn Beck.

Shortest list ever made. Let's keep up with him keeping up with his list. I wonder how obscure those on the list will be.

Honorable Republicans are the unicorns of the Rethug party.

2. that's nice and all
and Joe has occasionally had a good point in the last few months, but he was pretty vile during the election. I remember Scarborough making racist implications about Obama during the whole Rev Wright/"typical white person" non-drama. He's just doing this to sell books, make himself appear like less of an asshole when it's convenient.

3. Or run himself in 2012 ..
as one comment predicts.

Beck calls himself a "rodeo clown". That's a bingo.

4. And scar made a big deal out of it.
As he should have.
This will get interesting. I predict that sense most of the republicans have already signed up with Beck, getting away from him will be something like trying to chew off a limb to get away from a trap.

12. I wonder how many viewers Scarborough has cost MSNBC in the mornings?
I used to watch MSNBC every morning. Since "Morning Joe" started, the only time my TV is tuned to MSNBC before 9 AM is if it was turned off the night before tuned to Rachel or Keith.

I wonder if the ratings on "Morning Joe" are so low that he is in threat of losing the show.

7. The prediction that he'll run in 2012 is nuts
Who exactly is Joe's base?

The rightwinger base as exemplified on FR hates him just for criticizing the party.

There's no way anyone left of center is going to vote for Joe.

The middle/moderate/independent (what have you) voter probably finds Joe too far to the right for their interests.

So who exactly is Joe counting on to make him competetive in a primary much less carry him to the finish line in a general election?

Unless it comes out of Joe's mouth I think anything implying Joe's looking at a run for anything is about as credible as anything that gets posted on Drudge's site.

10. Joe would also have to wave bye-bye to his multi-million dollar contract with MSNBC
before he even started openly talking about or raising money for a run.

As you predicted, it's simply not going to happen. If anything, this whole "I'm the moderate voice of the GOP" schtick all began with his book release. This is about coin, not a run for the WH.
