GOP figure: Andy Card weighing run for Kennedy's seat
http://m.apnews.com/ap/db_16028/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=Q3YDndDs

WASHINGTON (AP) - A top GOP figure says former Bush White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card is seriously considering running for the late Sen. Edward Kennedy's vacant Senate seat.

Veteran political strategist and Card friend Ron Kaufman said Wednesday that Card is being pushed by Republicans to look at the race and is weighing a candidacy. Kaufman said in an e-mailed statement that Card has not made up his mind.

Kaufman is a Republican National Committee member from Massachusetts. He says Card plans to speak Wednesday night to state GOP officials at a meeting in Newton, Mass.

3. Good luck with that
If Dubya is half as unpopular in MA as I presume, then by all means Card should waste all the time and money he wants to on a failed Senate campaign.
Run Andrew run, we need a good laugh!

4. Wasn't he the Executive Fetchit guy?
IIRC, Bush sent Card for his Cheeseburgers and snacks.

5. He would be the favorite to win the nomination.
Right out of the gate

Two lightweight of local republicans,
Christy Mihos the Independent/ born again-republican,
Curt Schilling is said to be eying it too.
If Andy Card declares he's the automatic favorite to win.

Christy Mihos ran for governor as an independent and got like 15% statewide as a third party candidate
Mihos will rough Andy up quite a bit, Christy's a highly skilled campaigner.

Mihos could win against Card but He'd have to go all out to do it.
I don't know how much campaign cash Card has left from his state rep days.
Mihos is self financed and loaded and pretty popular

shaping up to be a hell of a primary on the republican side for Ted's seat

8. But look at the way the media always presented him as the reasonable, calm person

he pretends to be. It's the sanitizing of all the Bush-creeps that annoys the hell out of me.. Ari Fleischer is now seen as a "go-to" guy..so is Dan Senor..and Card..and the list goes on.

the collective memory of the people is short & shallow.. People forget how disgusting these people were/are, and see them as jovial, pleasant people these days.. Look out..

9. Speaking of short collective memory
We are just the folks to remind the short attention span crowd about the unadulterated evil that was the Bush administration.
This is gonna be great!
