The new Wal-Mart stores and expansions will create 1,500 jobs, said Nick Infante, Midwest director for the Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer. The company employs more than 33,000 people in the state. It also spent $4.2 billion with 1,385 suppliers in Michigan in fiscal year 2009."

2. Imagine making $35/hour at an auto plant two years ago and the

only thing left is minimum wage at Walmart.

I haven't been in a walmart in years but I don't remember too many "Made in Michigan" tags on the shit they sell.

On the rare occasion that I enter a Wal-Mart, I can't even manage to find many "made in America" tags, let alone any "made in Michigan" :(
