In our interview this morning, John Kerry hit back at Dick Cheney's charge on Fox News that the Attorney General's decision to investigate possible CIA abuses is an "outrageous political act."

“Dick Cheney has shown through the years, frankly, a disrespect for the constitution for sharing of information to Congress and a respect for the law and I’m not surprised that he’s upset about this,” Kerry said this morning on “This Week.”

1. Didn't Cheney call the Geneva Convention a "quaint document?"
or was that Shrub himself?

Unemployment Goes Down Among Former Attorneys General Named Alberto Gonzales
POSTED BY: Mary Phillips-Sandy
With all the grim unemployment data that's been floating around, you've probably been asking yourself one question: "How is former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales holding up in this recession?" Remember, he'd been having a dickens of a time finding a new job, for some reason, after getting downsized, for some reason, from his last one.

Well, good news! Ex-AG A.G. has got himself a new gig, at Texas Tech University…

Gonzales will work to recruit minority students for the Lubbock-based college's diversity office and teach a junior-level political science seminar on "Contemporary Issues in the Executive Branch," according to a statement from Texas Tech.

8. For me, one of the defining moments of the Bush years
was when Gonzo, speaking to the Senate, suggested that there was no constitutional right to habeas corpus. That was also the day I started to appreciate the virtues of Arlen Specter. He was so red-in-the-face angry at what Gonzo said that I thought he was going to have a stroke.

10. I like Senator Kerry. He is my senator, but frankly until

all the Democrats in Washington put aside the "Mr. Nice Guy" approach to politics we will have to be bothered by the birthers, deathers, liars and Cheney's of the Republican party.

If John Kerry thinks that Cheney didn't adhere to the constitution of the United stated then he has a responsibility to the American people to investigate, indict and incarcerate the former VP.

Until the Democrats learn how to break some republican kneecaps we will have to revisit the BS of the GOPygs each and every day.

11. Kerry uncovered more government corruption than any lawmaker in modern history - most of DC opposed

his work, obstructed his investigations, and ostracized Kerry for years, including his own party.

It's past time Democrats stand WITH those who work for accountable and open government and stop feeding into the media narrative against our best.

BushInc would have been fully exposed long ago on the basis of Kerry's investigations had a few powerful Dems sided with him throughout the 90s instead of protecting the secrecy and privilege of BushInc.

17. Our "Democracy" cannot survive tolerating
these types of powerful individual's crimes against the nation and its people. Be it fear or money, the barriers need to be removed to bring all these f'rs to justice.

19. US Senators do not have the power to indict or incarcerate anyone
Kerry's committee does not have the jurisdiction to investigate Cheney. That question was not innocent it was designed to get Kerry to criticize either Obama or Holder - and his answer was great.

23. Who is on board??!! If anybody had been on board we could have started

investigating the bastards two fucking years ago...or at the very least on Jan 21 of this year!

I'm tired of waiting for our guys to actually do something.

24. Maybe that is a clue why Kerry can do only what he is doing
Feinstein is saying that Holder's actions are premature. Kerry is solidly backing Holder in his effort here and to my knowledge he is the first or among the first to do so.

hammering BushCo every day that they aren't moving healthcare forward.

Make that the news instead of letting the RW crazies and teaBaggers catch the spotlight.

That's the type of person that Dick Cheney has become.

16. Cheney learned how to fail upward from Rumsfeld.
How Cheney Got His SNEER: The Curse of Dick Cheney

Then, there's the treason angle:

Plame Affair makes clear: USA is run by TRAITORS.

Add the lying, Big Time:

Know your BFEE: Cheney, Rumsfeld, Ford Covered Up CIA Murder of American Scientist

So. Yes. Dick Sneer Cheney and his mentor and cronies have a lot of explaining to do to a U.S. Senate inquiry, under oath.
