I think the health care debate just bottomed out.
I predict a slow recovery beginning Monday.

2. I hope so. I talked to a friend of min who is probably moderately conservative
(we don't discuss politics!) and she told me she never thought much of Ted Kennedy until she heard all the stories about how wonderfully he treated others. She said she wished she'd known those things while he was alive.

Maybe, just maybe, this will make people realize the Democrats aren't out to harm people or take way their rights.

4. You know, I am pissed off that all the time I was a young adult and
raising kids, and making a life that all I heard about Teddy Kennedy was that he was a womanizer, a partyer, a drunk, a murderer, a reprobate, an ass and a jerk.

Where was this man who held a cold, wet towel to his son's forehead every night during his nebulizer treatment?

Where was this man who helped his crippled son climb up a snowy hill?

I do remember that he visited his mother almost daily and did some of her daily care as well as that of his invalid father as they grew old and infirm, but he obviously had a large and devoted family for whom he was the anchor after 1968 in addition.

It's hard to imagine he had unlimited time to carouse as much as the media would have had us think.

My gosh if you think of just the people we've heard today of the time he spent with just them, the vast majority of his time was not his own just to piss away.

5. and you know, he could have done whatever he wanted. He could have been a corporate tool who only
took from this country instead of giving back every day of his life.

9. And now I find out just tonight
that he read to school children once a week without any publicity.

That doesn't sound like something you could farm out to staff to do.

God bless him.
