Called up Senator Bill Nelson's office today and let them know that I was unhappy with his failure
to support a public option and let them know that I was a donor and volunteer to his campaign in 2006 and a Precinct Committeeman in Orange County and that we in the party were unhappy and expected him to support a public option.

If you are a Floridian, please call and rattle the Nelson cage for a public option:

202-224-3121 - Washington D.C.
407-872-7161 - Orlando, FL

1. I'll Call... But He's Such A Weeny, DLC, DINO Type That I Wonder If
he even cares! Haven't liked him for such a long time and have NEVER donated to him because of it! He never seems to want to hear anything from constituents, regardless of what he says!

He wants to be in all the right places at the right time, but then turns his back on most Democrats!

JMHO!

2. I've met him a number of times and talked to him at various events.
He's not a horrible person and he DOES listen but I think he's been rattled by the teabaggers that camp outside his Orlando offices and needs us to rattle him the other way.

3. But He's NOT Having Any Meetings... Went Away On Vacation From
what I hear. I even went to visit his office when I was in D.C. and he wasn't there. His staff was very nice and told me he was supporting an issue I brought up. In the end he did nothing. He may seem to listen, but he might just forget when the rubber meets the road.

Why should tea baggers even rattle him?? He has NO opposition for re-election, at least none that I know of. Last time out it was "Cruella" so what choice did we have?? He has enough money to keep moving along, so WHY worry about "tea baggers?"

I'd prefer he'd stand up for Democrats than be afraid of "crazies!" Just how I'm thinking!
