David Gregory Danced with the Devil and is now so Corrupted it's hard to see his Soul.
Anyone who has seen Gregory "filling in for Chris" (who is either at Club Med on Vacation or in Rehab..no one reveals) must see that he has sold his soul to the Devil.

He spends the whole show ever day about Don Imus...even co-opting David Shuster to report on Imus and NOT the Nixonian missing E-Mails and why the White House has Obstructed Justice.

It's really weird out there in Media Whore Land. But, as cute as Gregory is...he danced with Imus ...and the Devil of the Bushies and no matter how hard he tries to rehab his relationship with Imus and his fanatical trashing of honest and decent Americans..one only has to view the video of the "Gridiron Dinner" where Gregory does his "true calling." A comedian "dancing and rapping with 'MC ROVE'" in a disgusting display of what our US MEDIA HAS BECOME.

Go away David Gregory. I'll never respect you again. You should move on to the Carlyle Company in some capacity as an intertainer or maybe "tap dance" yourself on Broadway...as an "Entertainer."

Sad...

1. There have been so many lines crossed, and so many lies told..
it's hard to keep it all straight anymore. There really aren't any true journalists left in the MSM, they're really all just "infotainers".

2. I noticed that myself and agree with you in toto and...
it was only mildly amusing to see him, during the interviews on Hardball tonight, suddenly interject that he was not disagreeing with the all-but-universal agreement that the comments were hideous, but that he's just asking questions which everyone has on their minds.

He looks like he lost his best friend, maybe he has. Much of his professional stock rose during his early AM interviews with Imus and now that avenue is lost to him forever. This is a very big deal, despite some DUers feeling that it's been over-reported. Next, the Rush's and Hannity's are going to come under the microscope and we're gonna let them know that they can no longer get away with this stuff.

3. David is taking his orders from Dan Abram. Don't you know that is his boss
at MSNBC News?

David is sitting in the chair as a newsreader and nothing else. He cannot decide his topics.

Yeah, I know that it wasn't that long ago that Gregory was being lauded to the skies at DU for "being one of the few journalists with the guts to stand up to the administration", but fuck it. He apparently has a less than 100% DU consensus rating by someone's reckoning, so now he must die.

18. Not true...but I do have a different sense of him....
now that I've seen him on stage w/Rove dancing. It kind of blew his credibility for me. Meanwhile, tonight's HArdball was all about Imus, even though all of these WH emails have gone missing...and someone blew up in the green zone today penetrating the most fortified area of Baghdad. And we need to keep doing the Imus thing? Save that for Scarborough or Entertainment Tonight. Imus said racist shit and should be fired and was fired...so now, let's talk about these missing emails

"Ho" is a sexist term. I understand your feelings Ned, but Gregory has been one of the FEW reporters who asked tough questions of this administration. I refuse to place him into a sub-human category for having human emotions.

25. I'm not saying he's sub-human...but dancing w/Rove=loss of respect
he didn't have to get involved with that. Like that poet from Cambridge that refused to come to the WH for breakfast and reading with Laura Bush. Gregory could ahve easily turned down going to an event with people that have tried to dstroy the media and this country, on principle

36. You bet he is, Molly. We were awakened last night by the sound of
lawn furniture being tipped over on the patio. We looked out the window and there was David Gregory, that craven monster, stealing our lawn furniture.

You can't trust him as far as you can throw him!

He serves Evil, and may he rot in Hell forever.

6. Yep.. he drank the koolaid because he wanted to be in the
"Boyz Klub".. a place were girls were sluts & "ho-s", and anyone they didn't like that day were "fair game". Anything went, and a sappy C&W bumper song and some green products advertisement & a shout-out to the "kids with cancer at the ranch", made it all "ok"..

That's what the Imus show always reminded me of.. A bunch of potty-mouthed "boys" sitting around trashing everyone.. I think, after time, they "forgot" they were on TV.//they were just having so much fun making fun of all the "uncool people"..

the funny thing is.. they weren't even funny :eyes:..

Paul Newman has green products, he has camps for sick kids, and he enjoys the good ole boy sport of "car racing", BUT Paul Newman does not make "fun" of people.

and while they may give the same "Tax Breaks" that Imus made available for his "Sick Kids Ranch" they were doing what they did "quietly."

and, would hope you have a link to it.

After the "Feedom Fries" and Gregory "speaking French" it seemed he moved to Bushie "C List" and it was only his views on IMUS that kept him afloat...aside from his "cutey looks" and tall presence. I didn't see much about his "Breaking News..Investigative Reporting" posted here on DU.

Maybe I missed it all.

15. This Was Like Watching A Funeral
I agree...Gregory has compromised himself with this story...doing the video equivelent of dancing behing MC Imus.

Last night, this morning and again this afternoon, he was there with his "post mortums" on what happened here with this look on his face like his best friend had died. You could see the combination of pain and frustration as he and his friends waxed nostalgia of their many Imus' appearances and either how Imus was sorry or how this thing had been "blown out of proportion". Gregory had become a special Imus pet in the last couple years...and surely David had fun doing it...now his fun is gone.

But he's only one that I've lost a lot of respect with as the Imus memorial included folks like Tom Oliphant and Craig Crawford and Jonathan Alter...people I generally admire...who, like Gregory, had fun playing with Imus and now are trying to protect their friend. It's sad to see the denial they're playing here.

Hopefully now this story will go away (as others here are wishing) and so will Imus. This isn't the end of this issue, but the beginning...as, hopefully, the off switch is starting to be clicked on the hate spewers who pollute our public airwaves.

21. Imus Helped Crawford Get His NBC Gig
By bringing him on his show, he got Crawford noticed and "accepted" in pundit circles. That's what I think we're seeing at play here with many of these people. Imus helped them with an appearance or a book plug or made them look good in other ways and its through this filter that they are looking at this. I guess one could say it's human nature to help someone who did the same for you, but it also exposes the beltway boys club in its rawest form.

to the incoming crop of "Media Whore's Jr."

I was so sad to see Craig Crawford among them. He actually looked like "deer in headlights" as to why Imus was fired from MSNBC...and he's been on Keith Olbermann as a "New Media" and yet...it seems he was "very old medi." Like Corporate Media.

Craig hit me hard. I don't have many hero's...and maybe I'm too "Purist." I thought Crawford was better than I saw him....

I was surprised to see him anchoring in the defunct sL-IMUS slot, then doing all sL-IMUS in the Tweety slot. But I only caught parts of it. It would seem he needed to provide a disclaimer about his own hugh role in the sL-IMUS circus. It was hilarious that sL-IMUS is now blasting Harold FORD for running away from him. Who ever took sL-IMUS's SHAM endorsements seriously? It was sickening how FORD kissed his ass. Not to mention my Dems KERRY, DODD.

There should be a wall of separation between journalism and gasbaggery. If a journalist breaches it, he will get gas all over himself.
