Bush stole the election(or his buddies did it for him)- Correct

The Patriot Act would not "sunset"- Correct

US Attorney firings were politically motivated- Correct

They are lying about WMD's in Iraq-Correct

Terror alerts are being used for political purposes- Correct

Valerie Plame was outed because her husband spoke out against the Iraq invasion- Correct

Every time the "left" brought up one of these subjects(and there are plenty more where these came from) we were called the loony left, traitors, Un-American, terrorist sympathizers. Of course as usual time has proven us right. Today I actually saw a guy quoted as saying that we were still wrong because all those ideas came out of a hatred for Bush not out of "facts" so we really wrong in our being right

What I want to know is how many fucking times do we need to be proven right before the people we fought to get elected start to listen to us. I am still reading about how the current administration is still tying the "bipartisan" approach.

Ok, Mr President, Senators and Congresspersons, you don't need to listen to me, just because I've been fucking right about everything else doesn't make me right about this :eyes: but give it up. The Republicans are not going to help with anything. Doesn't matter what it is. If you drew up a new Patriot Act today and worded it exactly the same way as the Republicans did back in 01 they would vote against it. Republicans have proven time and time again that the only America they want is the one where they control everything.
You have a chance to rub their faces in it. After all these years of bullshit, of Republicans destroying peoples lives for political gain, you have a chance to stand up for yourselves and us. An opportunity to kick them while they are down. Take it, because honestly I'm on my last frayed nerve and there are millions like me. Millions of VOTES, you hear me?

1. When ideology trumps everything
no matter how many times we are right, we are wrong.

Sad, isn't it?

As to votes. I already made that promised to my delegation, so did my hubby.

I am THIS CLOSE to just taking the next step... going from indie to green...

7. Goes back through US history.
Vietnam, civil rights, economic recovery from the Great Depression... I can't believe conservatives are taken seriously given their track record. And we're the kooks. It's fucking bizarro world.

8. Hmmm. Makings of some nice song lyrics there. A couple of suggestions tho -
I would do something more like - 'How many roads must a man walk down, before you call him a man'

Hmmm, hmmm, lets see.

Oh, and this - 'The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind, the answer is blowing in the wind'

Wow - you are really onto something here. This could be a classic!

9. Throughout history, the "liberals" (those advocating tolerance and acceptance
of otherness) have eventually proven right and the "conservatives" (hierarchical, authoritarian, reactionary) have been wrong.

Every time.

11. Throughout our history, liberals have been right 99% of the time.
And conservatives have fought us every time, every step of the way. They have always lied, distorted, and swayed public opinion with outright fabrications.

As much as I hate to say this, get used to it. I do not believe this dynamic will ever change.
