who have been exposed as the craven, hateful liars they really are.

The AMA & Pharma both agreed to come to the table and negotiate while Health Insurance Co's refused. They decided to try and stop any and all negotiations and sent brown shirts to Town Hall Meetings. I wouldn't be surprised if they were also colluding with the Gun Nut Militia types.

So as Democrats are FORCED to give up on bipartisanship after Republicans have shown they are unwilling and incapable of compromise, I have a feeling they are also about to quietly make the Insurance Co's really sorry.

Proof?

The House Democrats are asking for information regarding Insurance Co's Executive Compensation.

House Dems Seek Info From Health Insurers
House Democrats Request Detailed Records From Industry Opposed To Health Legislation

(AP) Democrats on a House committee are seeking detailed financial records from dozens of large insurance companies, officials disclosed Tuesday, part of an investigation into "executive compensation and other business practices" in an industry opposed to President Barack Obama's plan to overhaul health care.

The request included records relating to compensation of highly paid employees, documents relating to companies' premium income and claims payments, and information on expenses stemming from any event held outside company facilities in the past 2 1/2 years.

The requests were made in letters signed by Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., who guided a portion of health care legislation through the House Energy and Commerce Committee last month as chairman, and Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., who heads the Energy and Commerce investigations and oversight subcommittee.

They wrote that the committee was "examining executive compensation and other business practices in the health insurance industry." The Associated Press obtained a copy.

The requests were issued at a time when Obama's health care proposal is under intense attack from Republicans and other critics, including the health insurance industry. Much of the opposition focuses on proposals for the government to sell insurance in competition with private carriers.

Obama and other supporters of a so-called government option argue it would help control costs and keep insurance companies honest by forcing them to grapple with competition.

2. Your information isn't correct. AHIP attended all the meetings at the White House and
testified to all the committees.

The Obama bill (according to Obama in Montana) will subsidize low income folks to buy private health insurance. That means at least 40 million new customers for private insurance companies. In return the insurers have agreed to end pre-existing conditions, to do some modified community rating, to end annual and life time caps, to stop rescission, and to do guaranteed issue.

It's a bigger and better way to rip us off, and it makes the private health insurance companies more money than the way they are doing things now, which is why they are in favor of these "reforms."

They are opposed to a public option. But so is big pharma.

It's true that the house Dems haven't signed off on these deals the white house has negotiated.
