Sorry to be so presumptive with the intro to this thread.
However, as far as I am concerned, Americans are having
their attention diverted while the super rich slowly
but surely twist the knife into their backs.

I implore you to read the article included in the link above.
Everything else is just fluff. We need to see what
their master plan is. Seems like one big shell game.

Read the article. I implore you.

or maybe I will just go play my fiddle while Rome burns.

1. It is apparent that 'WE' can not handle the ugly truth because...........
many are in denial about the seriousness and severity of our economic situation. bushco has destroyed the empire. I am hopeful that over the decades the nation can be restored.

2. This predates BushCo by decades. It is a shell game they've played on the
willfully ignorant population since before our grandparents were born. It is not a covert plot, it has been exposed, and ignored, every few years and those trying to warn us are dismissed and ridiculed.

Well, now we're in the end game and there's precious little we can do about it now, they've stolen our nation, sucked it dry and are heading off to greener pastures. I'd hoped it would take longer, but it looks like we will live to see it.

Here's to interesting times.:toast:

3. The guy who wrote the article is not credible.
The housing bubble was going to burst anyway, and the value of the dollar at this point is more affected by the federal government's deficit spending than by the bursting housing bubble.

What you should fear most is a war with Iran. Any oil disruption will send the price for fuel skyrocketing. That will send shockwaves through the US economy. If China throws a fit and decides to stop buying more US Treasury bonds (probably for a limited period of time) to finance US deficit spending because we blew up their oil investments in Iran, the US government would either have to cut spending on the war machine or raise taxes to make up the shortfall or get somebody else to buy those Treasury bonds.
