Hope Obama does a good post-mortem on what went wrong here, compare it to what went wrong when Clinton tried it (very different approached). Try to figure out a winning strategy from both fails.

The public option was already dead. Look at the bills (HR3200 and the HELP Bill) they aren't public option, they were a joke as far as public option is concerned.

But we do have a real live actual single payer bill coming up for a vote.

You could work to get it as many votes as possible, or you can work with the insurance industry to bribe them to quit doing bad things, like Obama is doing.

Your choice! Be helpful to people or be helpful to the private insurance companies. Your choice!
