Are there any insurance companies that contribute to progressive candidates?

I just did a search of campaign contributions by my car and home insurer--American Family--and found some pretty disturbing info, including contributions to Bachmann. I'd like to switch, but wondered whether insurers ever support progressives. Anyone know of such an insurer?

1. Insurance Companies play both sides of the street. They look
out for their own interests.

Check Campaign donations to Blue Dogs and people like, Bayh, Lincoln

Remember Ben Nelson, D, NE will not support public option because
he will not do anything to hurt the Insurance industry.

There are reason Blue dogs are Blue Dogs.

Contributes to the Democratic Party, Move On, and the ACLU. The advertising on Beck is problematic, but still...

4. Try American Income Life Insurance
I don't know if this company is what you need, but check out their web site

http://www.ailins.com/main/default.aspx

Bernie Rapoport is the owner. Bernie is known in Texas as a major donor for Democratic candidates and, along with many other things, helps to keep the Texas Observer alive. The Texas Observer was the first home for Molly Ivins back in the day and continues to expose the ignorance and corruption of the Republican Party in Austin and state wide.

BTW - AILI also supports the EFCA.
