Sen. Mccaskill took a swipe at Town Hall media coverage today.

As she closed out her local event in a St. Louis suburb today, she noted the back and forth, the ability to get some real discussion in, even amid the disruptions, and commented directly to the camera - "But what do you think is going to get replayed on TV?"

Regardless of her stand on health care reform, I thought it was a good use of some media time. CNN, to give some credit, ran the comment. Of course, they ran the crowd sniping as the main event.

Go figure.

1. The Senator is correct
After all, a respectful question and answer session with an exchange of information, opinions and views, just isn't nearly as much fun to telecast as a raucous mob scene. Remember the toppling of the Saddam statue early in the invasion of Iraq? It required a very tight focus on the action, because a wider-angle shot would have betrayed just how insignificant the whole affair was to most of Iraq.

2. She's right
GEM$NBC seemed very upset that no one attacked Pres Obama and all they keep replaying from Specter's TH is the one person who disrupted the meetings.

7. Yep, they glommed in on Specter's. CNN, to its credit, ran Obama's start - finish. Did MSNBC?

I don't watch them much, except for a few programs - Olberman, Maddow and Mathews, I guess. Sunday economics shows.

:hi:

6. She is, at that. And doing a good job of standing up to the shout fest.
