This is a set up, right? Orchestrated from where? Undoubtedly broadcast via Limbaugh the Hut and all his slimy media spawn...
How do these crazies get away with disturbing the peace, breaking the law, disrupting public forums? It's okay cuz they're Right?
What can be done? What is being done? With a whiff of violence in the air and folks tempted to turn into the crazies, which is a mistake, let's start our own campaign. (In prepping this, I thought of the Clowns kicking KKK ass and found ColbertWatcher's previous attempts, linked below).
Two Minutes Hate
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_C992KPzKsPelosi, Hoyer: Health-care protesters' behavior 'un-American'
By The Associated Press 08.11.09
http://www.firstamendmentcenter.org/news.aspx?id=21937WASHINGTON — The House's top two Democrats yesterday called some of the behavior of health-care overhaul opponents "simply un-American." The White House had a different response.
Protesters have disrupted town hall meetings held by lawmakers, in some cases shouting down speakers at the events. Police have had to intervene and videos of the events have circulated widely on YouTube and cable news.
"These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views — but of the facts themselves," said Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer of Maryland. "Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American. Drowning out the facts is how we failed at this task for decades."
Town Hall Attacks on Health Care - Mob Rule or Democracy in Action?
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2009/08/town-hall-mobs-attack-health-care-democracy-in-action-or-unamerican.htmlIt's getting ugly out there.
Opponents of health care reform are disrupting town halls from coast to coast. As Ticket reported last week, protesters in Maryland hung a congressman in effigy. In Texas, anti-reformers held a sign showing a tombstone with Democratic Rep. Lloyd Doggett's name on it. And in Missouri, police arrested six people outside a health care forum with Democratic Rep. Russ Carnahan after protesters organized by the conservative St. Louis Tea Party clashed with pro-reform union workers.
Fighting back, the White House has set up a website -- whitehouse.gov/Reality Check -- and a new email address --
[email protected] -- so supporters can pass along rumors that seem, well, fishy. "Scary chain emails and videos are starting to percolate on the Internet, breathlessly claiming, for example, to 'uncover' the truth about the President’s health insurance reform positions," the White House blog said.

http://thinkprogress.org/2009/08/11/dingell-kkk/Rep. John Dingell (D-MI), currently the longest serving member of the House of Representatives, has been on the receiving end of some rowdy town hall meetings recently. People in attendance have displayed signs comparing President Obama to Hitler and one man even yelled at Dingell, saying “your healthcare plan is going to take healthcare away from my son and kill him!” When Dingell said it wouldn’t, the man repeatedly shouted “liar!” When asked last night on MSNBC about the angry mobs he has encountered, Dingell said they remind him of the days when he voted for civil rights in the 1960s:
DINGELL: Well, the last time I had to confront something like this was when I voted for the civil rights bill and my opponent voted against it. At that time, we had a lot of Ku Klux Klan folks and white supremacists and folks in white sheets and other things running around causing trouble.
